The Black Market Featured Business of the Month is a prestigious honor amongst TBM member companies.

The Featured Business of the Month is nominated by TBM member companies and their employees through a survey taken at the beginning of the month which honors the company that has made the most progress not only for the organization, but for Black Hospitality Professionals.

Featured businesses show exemplary service both to its customers as well as to its employees.

A major category in this award is the employee survey.  A business cannot run without the support of its staff; therefore, the staff survey is a major factor in determining the honor of being TBM Business of the Month.

A driving force of any business is the person who takes a step of faith to live his/her dreams.  As an African American in the US, many doors have had to be demolished in order for us as a people to live our dreams.  People know of the Malcolm’s and the Martin’s, but this section is dedicated to the forerunners of the hospitality industry in Black America.

Hospitality Entrepreneurs featured have paved the way for all in the industry to break down barriers and establish our businesses as an asset to our respective destinations nationally.
